The Water Age plugin, available in the Qatium Marketplace, helps you monitor water quality across your distribution network. This tool tracks water age — a key indicator of water quality — and presents clear visual insights on how long water has been in your system.

Uses cases

• Visualize water age in your network
  The Water Age panel uses colors to show how long water has been in your network. Filter by time to spot problem areas and act.
• Optimize network operations
  Use water age insights to reduce losses and improve treatment efficiency by adjusting your operations in real time.
• Create risk maps and plan flushing
  Identify areas with lower water quality and use this data to visualize on the map the risk areas and plan flushing sequences.

How to use the Water Age plugin

1. Visualize data: Open the panel and switch the toggle ON. You will see different colors on the map indicating water age in your network.
2. Filter results: Use the filter to select a specific time range and focus on areas where water has been in the network the longest.
3. Take action: Use the insights from the plugin to adjust your network design or plan flushing sequences to maintain water quality. 

By using the Water Age plugin, you can maintain a higher standard of water quality across your network, ensuring your system runs efficiently and reliably.
