Water footprint data is not available
Sometimes when using the Water footprint plugin, you may see the message: Insights not available. This means the plugin doesn’t have enough data to calculate results.
Here are the most common reasons this can happen, and how to solve them.
No readings for the selected date or period
The message appears because there are no flow readings available for the dates you selected.
How to fix it:
Select a different date range for the baseline period, and make sure your network has flow readings available for the period you want to analyze.
Network has no zones or missing sensors
The plugin needs zones and flow sensors in place. If your network has no zones, or some zones don’t have sensors at all inlets and outlets, the calculation can’t be made.
How to fix it:
- Verify that your network has zones defined.
- Check that all inlets and outlets in those zones have flow sensors installed.
- Add or update sensor data if necessary.
Zone has no sensor data
If the selected zone (DMA) exists in your network but has no flow sensors at its inlets or outlets, the isnights won't be available either.
How to fix it:
- Check the configuration of the DMA.
- Make sure flow sensors are installed at every inlet and outlet.
- Add the missing sensor readings to unlock insights.
Missing data when “All DMAs” is selected
When selecting All DMAs, the plugin adds up data from every zone. If one or more zones are missing readings, the total excludes them.
How to fix it:
- Check the list of zones with missing data shown in the message.
- Add or update flow sensor readings for those areas.
- Once the data is available, the plugin will automatically include them in the total.
