Q is your digital water assistant inside Qatium. With Q, you can get information about your network, ask questions about the platform, and even perform actions without clicking through menus.

In this exercise, you'll learn how to talk to Q, test both the chat and voice features, and try out some commands that make your day-to-day work easier.

Say hi to Q

1. Log in to Qatium and go to your personal workspace.
2. Open the demo network 

3. Locate Q’s icon in the lower-left corner of the platform.
4. Click the icon to open the assistant.

Now, try introducing yourself and saying hello:

• By typing: Write Hi Q, I'm [your name]. Nice to meet you!
• By voice: Use the microphone icon and say Hey Q, I'm [your name].

Ask Q to find and show you information

Use Q to locate and display details of a specific asset:

1. Type or say: Open Mandalay_P1 details.
2. Once Q opens the panel, ask: What’s the downstream pressure of Mandalay_P1?
3. Review the value. The information panel should display the same data that Q provided in the conversation.

Move through time

1. Ask Q to adjust the timeline: Show me the network at 07:00 tomorrow.
2. Then test another time of day to see how your network behaves.

Change the status of assets

Try setting a pump or valve to a different status:

1. Set Mandalay_P1 to closed.
2. Open V_29282582

Q will apply the change in your scenario instantly.
