With Qatium, you can test different situations and operations before implementing them in the real world. That’s what we call running scenarios.
You can, among many other things, evaluate the impact of watermain shutdowns, design and adapt flushing sequences, and test as many theories as you need in a risk-free digital environment.
Depending on your plan (Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise), you’ll get access to different tools.
These are the main controls for running scenarios in Qatium:
- Work modes: so you can focus on specific tasks.
- Network versions: to quickly check the difference between your real network and its scenario version.
- Demand spike: to apply different demands on nodes and hydrants.
- Shutdown: to test supply interruptions in the network.
- Flushing: to design flushing sequences.
- Timeline: to check changes over a specific period of time.
Use these tools separately or along with others to go as far as you want. For example, using the Demand spike panel alongside the Flushing panel to determine whether changes in demand condition the velocities for flushing.
You can also see how these scenarios affect your network pressures, flow, and tank autonomy.
